At Termina, our goal is simple: we only succeed when you save.

Why it may not always be exactly 50/50
How we calculate savings
The Goal: A 50/50 Savings Split
Our aim is straightforward.
If we save you $10 on your energy bill, you keep $5 and we keep $5.
In simple terms:
Your savings are calculated as half of the savings based on your usage at the time we switch you to a better energy plan.
How We Calculate Savings
When we review your site for a switch:
We take your historical usage profile.
We compare your current retailer’s rates against available market offers.
We calculate savings using your actual usage at that time.
If savings are found, we move you to the better plan.
Your unit prices are then set based on your usage at the time of the switch.
This usage profile is what determines the savings split going forward.
Why the Split Is Sometimes Not Exactly 50/50
We fix your unit rates when we switch you. We do not continuously adjust them every time your usage changes.
Why?
If we recalculated your rates every time usage moved up or down, your unit prices would constantly fluctuate. That creates confusion and makes billing unpredictable.
Because usage naturally varies month to month, the actual split may sometimes shift slightly. For example:
45/55
55/45
This is not biased either way. It is simply a result of keeping your unit prices stable and predictable.
